beautiful, wonderful

seriously

she doesn’t know what’s going on. she is unaware of financial issues. she doesn’t care if i’m all messy from working on my basement. she likes jazz, but also enjoys death cab for cutie…and she could care less if you decide to change it to something else. she is completely oblivious to the fact that in less than three months, she and her mom and i will be living in a completely different part of the country. she doesn’t know…or care…what is going on around her.

but she does follow me with her big blue eyes. she does think all my hats are weird, only being fully able to smile when i take them off. she does prefer being held to sitting in her bouncy seat. she does know when she’s uncomfortable, and she tells me immediately. she does show an early love for the outdoors, and for walks in the stroller. she does like to talk, although she isn’t too good at enunciation or articulation yet. she has found her fingers and thumb, and she does use them as comfort food when mom isn’t around. she does laugh when she sees me approaching.

she doesn’t spend any time primping. she doesn’t know how to curl her hair. she has no idea what l’oreal or covergirl or clinique or maybelline are. she doesn’t care about her tan.

but somehow she is one of the most beautiful things i have ever seen in my life.

so, now you know. and i think she really does like death cab. why wouldn’t she? seriously.
