one month ago today, it had been three days since my last post. here are some thoughts reflecting what has happened since then.

1. my daughter broke the enter button off my laptop. i didn’t realize she was going to do that, or else i wouldn’t have let her play with it. i thought she wanted to check her e-mail…
2. about two weeks ago, we flew out to denver, co, to interview for a worship leader position. today, against the logic and reason in my head, i told him that we felt like God wants us to stay put for the time being. so this week i’m hitting the street for “job-jobs.” you know, the kind that don’t involve working in a church. i’m a little nervous about that, simply because my resume consists mostly of things i’ve done in a church setting. i’m great at creative, team-based, problem-solving stuff…but i don’t know how easy it will be to convince a pros
3. in related news, i filled in last sunday on guitar at fusion church. it was a blast. i got to use in-ear monitors for the first time, and it was crazy. a little bit hard to get used to, but i got it under control.
4. had lunch at olive garden today. seafood portofino. very nice. do you like? i like. do you like?
5. heading up to ohio next week for my friend jason’s wedding. i haven’t been back in about six months, and i’m pretty excited. i’m picking up my friend brad on the way. this trip should be fun, since brad is pretty much the funniest person i’ve ever met.
6. been watching the europe soccer tournament on espn classic. it’s weird, because i was under the impression that espn classic only showed old games and sports documentaries. but i turned it on today and saw “earlier today” across the top of the screen. barcelona vs. lyon. it inspired to email my friends in spain.
7. kid nation is a weird show. i don’t really know how i feel about it.
8. gotta go to best buy soon to get the “enter” button put back onto my computer.
