it’s Monday morning, and it seems appropriate to post a delicious mind dump of sorts.

1. it was a little sad to see brett favre’s packers lose last night, mostly b-cuz who knows how many good seasons ole Brett’s got left in him?

2. I’m hanging out with ella today because she slept in until 9:50! so gretchen went to work without her. we’re eating breakfast right now…and by “we’re eating” I mean I already finished eating and am now breaking up ella’s waffle into bite-sized pieces.

3. ella is a hoot. she’s got this new thing she does where she offers you a bite of her food, and then when you try to eat it she pulls it back at the last second and shoves the food into her own mouth. already a prankster.

4. I’m loving youversion.com. I’ve been able to use it to stay on track with my personal devotions, and I’ve actually been writing some of my thoughts online to help me process what I’ve read. it’s pretty awesome.

5. I’m talking (in a very prliminary sense) with a pastor who has a pretty scary, humanly unattainable vision, and it’s getting me pretty pumped. I can’t say any more right now, but if god is working this, things could get interesting real soon!

6. my dude chris loaned me season 3 of the 24 series, and I finished it the other day. the writers and producers of that show do a great job creating tension and interest and making you care about the characters (except for kim…I’m sick of her and I hope what happened to her boyfriend at the end will keep her from coming back. she actually didn’t suck that bad this season, but she was so awful the first two years that I still can’t stand her.) I can’t wait to watch season 4!

7. I’ve been listening to a lot of indie music on thesixtyone.com. real cool site based on a cool idea. plus I’m uploading some of my stuff on there, so that’s fun.

8. ella is getting pretty good at drinking on her own from her zippy cup. if you don’t understand how kewl that is, then you haven’t taken care of a thirsty kid lately.

9. I read a passage in the book of matthew this morning that really got me thinking a lot. maybe I’ll post some thoughts later about it.

10. I think my computer is about to bite the dust. I may be spending most of the afternoon backing up files and software for an emergency reformat!

11. what a great game last night. gretchen rooted for new York simply because she likes the name Eli. so, yay for Eli I guess…

12. I don’t think New York stands a chance against the patriots. I hope it’s a close game, but it seems to me that I’ll be watching the super bowl for the commercials and the half-time show again this year.
