“i want to be great”

holy cow, it’s been a long time since i blogged! i guess it’s probably okay, but it seems to me that i should be staying current… i used to have a blog on myspace dot com that i posted to once a week-ish…for about a month. then i just stopped. you know the kind. about three months later i posted a poem…what in the world…

anyway, we went back to northpoint again this weekend. it was cool…they started a new series called “i want to be great.” this week’s message dealt with differentiating greatness from being great at something. (whitney houston is a great singer…but looking at her legacy, one might not necessarily call her “great”…that was a little rude i know, but google that chick…she’s jacked up…) maybe later i’ll scan the program cover so that you can see what the series images look like. as promised, i took some snap shots of the stage, which didn’t really have anythin in particular to do with the series theme. but they looked cool.

look closely to see that the hanging colored panels are corrugated metal. they had an orange light shining on them during the teaching part, and the rest of the time the lights kept changing and moving. i took these shots afterwards, so it’s a little dark…but you can still get the idea.

the second shot is a close up of the hanging metal. i’m seeing that they reuse a lot of their staging materials. reiterate, don’t player-hate.
