my job rocks

i’ve picked up about 25 hours a week working as a produce clerk at the local kroger. this is called my “job-until-i-find-the-right-job” job. i also refer to it as my “awesome job” or my “favorite job.” i unload the pallets of fresh produce and put everything where it goes in the industrial cooler. i spend five hours and forty-five minutes (minus trips to the restroom, etc…) in an over-sized refrigerator. then i come home and my cheeks take almost an hour to heat back up. but, i get money for it. i know it’s a novel concept, but if i go there and do the things they want me to do, they give me money. money that i can use to defray some of the costs of living in my house with my wife and daughter. yes folks, my job rocks.

i took this photo in the break room, with my cell phone. if you get out a mirror and reverse the image, you can read my name.
