i always thought this song was a beautiful, tragic tribute to all those who have lost their lives in combat, although this song is specifically about vietnam. today’s selection is goodnight saigon by billy joel. don’t forget the reason why you get to take the day off and grill out and get slosh drunk and play cornhole (it’s a bean-bag toss game popular in ohio, for my readers anywhere else in the world) on a monday.
