tuesday tunes

i have spoken a grand total of probably 100 words since i arrived at the office this morning. my voice is tired and sick and sore. i just got out of staff meeting, and the majority of my words were spoken in there…but i tried to keep it to a minimum.

celine dion doesn’t talk for a whole day before she performs…

anyway, with my voice feeling so stupid, and the sky looking so gray and gloomy, and the ground so dark and shiny from the rain earlier this morning…it’s an abbey road kind of day. that’s the first beatles album i ever owned, thanks to a (valentines? christmas?) gift from jo ellen in high school. i wore that tape out (yeah it was a tape, that’s how old i am). it’s a great rainy day album, especially in ohio, since in the middle of the album, very suddenly, the sun comes out and stays out pretty much until “the end”… (here comes the sun, the sun king, etc.)

anyway, it’s yet to get sunny here today, so here’s a rainy day song from abbey road for your listening enjoyment. i want you is the last, stormiest song right before the sun comes out. listen, and enjoy.

    Here's my top five:
Sunday In The Rain by Gandalf Murphy and the Slambovian Circus of Dreams
I Wish I Never Saw The Sunshine by Beth Orton
    Time by Tom Waits
Rain by Patty Griffin (too obvious? I could substitute Forgiveness)
The Information Man by Buddy Wakefield
