my wife the theologian

spent some time on the phone with the irs this morning. discovered yet another wrinkle in the “what happened over the last year” story. griped about it to gretchen on my way out the door to work. just got this email from my wife.

we are healthy. we have a beautiful daughter. we have each other. we have a great marriage. we have a lot of friends. we can walk. we have cars. we have a whole storage unit full of stuff. we have great parents. we have great grandparents. we have great siblings. we have a great church. we have a great pastor. we have a great place to live. we have medicine.

we are blessed even when we don’t feel like we are.

love you,

g

i love her, too.

yup. we've had very similar discussions. sometimes i'm the strong / wise one but mostly it's my Godly wife. blessed! and the IRS only wants the best for you! (hmmm - and why they strain gnats with pastor type people who don't earn very much money - i don't get it - i mean i REALLY don't get it!) but God is faithful. and we are blessed.
  • Dude, if it makes you feel any better, Ren and I have had so many phone conversations with the IRS that by now they're starting to feel like family.
