strengths and weaknesses

every month or so, i get this silly update from this silly facebook app called “compare people” that i signed up for a few years ago. basically, it’ll pair up two people in your contacts list at random and then ask you a question like “who is smarter?” or “who is a better parent?” or “who is cuter?” the update lists your top-rated traits as well as your lowest-rated ones. so, most of the time, i open it up and get a chuckle at the fact that most of my friends think i’m not a good scientist or whatever. but this time, the perceived perceptions were a little harder to take… see for yourself:

HEY!! well i guess i gotta work harder… and i don’t know what i’m going to do about the other one…

    Yeah, I agree with Gretchen, you are definitely a smart fella. And I know what your ACT score was…it was higher than mine.

    I also think you are a hard worker, when it’s something you’re in to or excited about. If it’s something that you don't really want to do, then you run into problems.

    I think they hit the strengths on the head though.
  • do your friends know how high your act score was?

    I guess your friends really don't know you very well...

    I think you are smart. does that matter? :)
