WHAT UP BUSTAZ?!! I’M BACK!! WOOT!!

1. the previous statement may very well be the most annoying thing i’ve ever written on my blog.

2. vacation was wonderful. it was the perfect length, and i watched the perfect amount of tv, and i played the perfect amount of xbox, and i ate the perfect amount of delicious junk.

3. the weather was ridiculous. s-s-sooooo co-co-co-cold-d-d the first few days, and then it got nice… no snow on christmas, but lots of sunshine, which suited me just fine.

4. it has been almost two weeks since i last blogged. i missed it…and i didn’t miss it. you know what i mean. one of those things. of course i twittered like mad, so i was still “connected” to some extent.

5. i find it intriguing that my site traffic stayed pretty steady through the winter break, even with no new posts. don’t really get it, but maybe everybody has been checking in for THIS post with such eagerness…cause they JUST…CAN’T…WAIT!! or, maybe y’all are just using my site to access your favorite blogs from my links in the right column. that’s cool too.

6. great day today. actually, first service was plagued with technical difficulties. second service was very smooth and cool. we tweaked a couple of things, and we fixed a bunch of stuff during the break.

7. amazing response to the holy spirit today. i know of at least one person who gave their life to christ this morning, and several who gave it back to him. that’s exciting.

8. gretchen told me that the music second service was “awesome.” glad she didn’t come to first service when i had a short in my mic chord and we had to play musical micstands on stage to get me to one that worked, all the while distracting people more than anything else. sheesh. but god moved how he wanted and used us in spite of ourselves.

9. the website for offCampusMarion (the college ministry for MFCN) is now live. check it out here. my friend andy helped me with it and did a fantastic job.

10. i’m pumped about encounter0109, our worship concert on saturday, january 17, at 6pm in the outreach center (gym). first off, it’s gonna be off the hook. secondly, it’s going to be a great time to connect with god in a no-holds-barred, nobody’s-looking-at-me, singing-for-an-audience-of-one kind of worship experience. thirdly, it’s gonna be off the hook. this will be a GREAT event to invite an UNCHURCHED friend to. very low pressure and high fun. so bring out your peeps.

11. the college community group was real cool tonight. good discussion and a couple of newer faces. and i am convinced that a couple of them are WAY smarter than i am. i’m okay with that, but i noticed.

12. alright, it’s like 1:20am, and i’m as tired as heck. but i just couldn’t hold out from you all any longer. i’ll talk to you again soon.
