just a few quick hits this morning.

1. i pretty much don’t blog anymore. maybe that’s cause i twitter too much. all the random thoughts that i used to have to store in my memory bank until i had time to throw them up on my blog are now instantly posted for all 150 individuals who follow my tweets. (fyi 150 is relatively low in the twitter realm. ashton kucher has over a million peeps following him…)

2. the weather maps have been promising rain here in marion for the last couple of days, and now it’s finally doing it. it’s about time yo.

3. had every intention of going running this morning, but the song that came on my alarm clock radio was so good i had to hit snooze to see if the next one would be good too. turns out it was…i played this game for about 36 minutes or so… incidentally i have no recollection of what the songs were.

4. i have a meeting this afternoon in my office. well it’s pretty messy right now. perhaps i should clean it up. and get some chairs in here. just a thought.

5. took a leadership class last week at mvnu. (one-week cram intensive course, 3.5 hours a day, for 5 days) i got my grades in the mail yesterday: 400 points out of 400. if only i would have harnessed my awesomeness in high school and college. what a slacker.

6. i made coffee this morning for the first time in a few weeks (been out of town or busy or lazy or whatever). so i opened the lid to put a new filter in and found that i had never emptied the previous one. it was a science fair project in there waiting to be photoed, graphed, hypothesized, and set in front of a tri-fold poster board. hairy and fuzzy and greenish-white. to bad i didn’t take a twitpic of that! don’t worry, i washed it before i made a new pot.

7. i’m sure there’s an x-men origins plot in there somewhere if i hadn’t washed it…maybe i would have grown a third armpit that could melt paper.

8. now i’m just being stupid. this is nice.
