we live in the country. seriously, the KUNTREE. remember that as i tell the following story. so…i’m over at a friend’s working on a homework assignment, and my wife sent me this series of text messages:
i took bailey out an while i was out there a possum came up next to me and rubbed against my leg. he didn’t realize i was a human bc i was standing so still.
then:
Then i screamed so loud that he got scared and peed all over my right foot and leg
then:
Then he ran down the driveway and i couldn’t see him anymore
then:
Also, i found two dead mice in the garage when i was fixing the trash. one bby and one adult.
then:
Bailey tried to eat the baby but i stopped him by kicking him
i got to panera extra early so that i could sit in the area i like the best for the bible study. and i beat the annoying skype lady here. (skype is a program that lets you talk on the phone for free, connecting anywhere in the world without charge, by way of the internet. it’s a remarkable product. the annoying skype lady is the one who is at panera every time i go, with a headset on, yapping away. usually i can avoid her, but i can always hear her.)
anyway, i beat the annoying skype lady to panera, sat down in the section i wanted, and started in on my homework and preparation for the bible study i lead. so in comes the annoying skype lady, and of all the tables in the entire restaurant, she plops down at the one next to where i’m sitting! what in the world?! get your own section!
this is a video from some of the guys i used to work with. (tony and seth). i’m sure i’ve probably seen it before, but i just sat in my office laughing out loud.
here is some eye/ear candy. first of all, the guitarist ripping solos with different necks on the guitar is really doing it. it’s a pretty incredible skill, not to mention crucial for everyday gigging. secondly, the singer’s hair is what people who spoof bad hair bands get their material from. it’s absolutely breathtaking. thirdly, the second video is ridiculous at many levels. enjoy.
i don’t love politics, mostly because i often don’t know what to believe or how to figure out which side of the story to listen to. enter rick warren, pastor of saddleback church. he recently interviewed both barack obama and john mccain, asking identical questions of both candidates. very interesting. watch it below if you like. see if it helps you compare “apples to apples.” decide for yourself.
yeah, it’s friday morning at 2:45, i “turned in” my homework a little while ago, by way of the internet in my neighbor’s driveway, and i’ve just been sitting here thinking and reflecting…and also watching this video, which i find quite humorous.
so, welcome to my brainstorming session. for some insight into my state of mind and my line of thinking, see this post. here’s the question for today:
if you were a college student at a public university, what could i do for you (not involving the purchase of beer ) that would be fun or helpful, or that would fulfill a need you have?
